The variety of articles collected here left me full spiritually and wanting more. It's a perfect read for the subway or waiting for a friend. A delightful collection of short essays by Rabbi Blech on topics ranging from Love to Death to everyday life provided me with more understanding into Judaism in an easy format to digest.

The title of this book captured me but after reading several entries, I am neither impressed nor touched. It strikes me as "surface" reading, not depth.
I have read R. Blech before and he can be a strong writer. But I don't find that to be the case here in this volume. Spirituality is a difficult word to define; it is no doubt in the eyes of the beholder, and I don't find it here. Neither in depth, perspective, or intensity. The writing here provides little as a catalyst to stop and reflect, ponder, wonder. Spirituality in writing is better found in Abraham Joshua Heschel or the volume "Hebrew Ethical Wills" by Abrahams.
Blech is a great thinker and writer. Buy everything he has published if you can.
